The World Protection Group, Inc. (WPG) uniformed Security Officers and Agents are ambassadors of our clients’ facilities, often serving as the primary interface between building occupants and visitors. They create a “Positive First Impression” by managing perimeter security, access control, visitor management and security measures throughout the facility.
All WPG Security Officers/Agents are cross-trained for static and patrol posts and can be uniformed based on the location and level of deterrence necessary. These officers are proactive and are typically the “first-responders” to incidents and emergencies on property.
WPG’s training program exceeds all state standards and requirements for screening and training. Each Security Officer/Agent is properly equipped to perform their security and safety role based on the risks and security procedures specified for the site, and every officer has the practical knowledge and skills to respond to any potential incident including fire, bomb threats, workplace violence, terrorism and other criminal activity.
WPG Security Officers/Agents must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug-screening program. Employees are required to have completed a 40-hour minimum (for Security Officers) or 110-hour minimum (Security Agents) program in access control, arrest and control, criminal law and enforcement, evacuation, first-aid/CPR/AED, parking and traffic control, communications and workplace violence. Prior to going out on duty, our Security Officers/Agents will go out on additional onsite training on post-orders and site specific operations.
WPG Security Officers/Agents receive additional training, including certifications in pepper spray, batons (and firearms) if applicable. All Security Officers/Agents must also complete 8 hours of annual refresher training.
